Through a cloud

The fog was helping these pictures on a lot. It kind of gave them a creepy side.

Camp Qwanoes

Camp is a huge part of my life. It's where I started learning about photography, and where I have seen God's creation through smiles and children countless times. I seem to wind up there every summer. I decided this past year to try and capture some of those times. Here are my results.

Mexico 2007

These are a few pictures from my missions trip to mexico in 2007. It was an amazing experience to be able to see the children's reaction when they saw a camera, and even more so when you would be in a picture with them. They loved it!

My inspiration

My inspiration to begin persuing photography, was a camp photographer at Camp Qwanoes. Jordan Nielsen started out on his own, and has grown to be an amazing photographer without really any training. By watching him and seeing the beauty that he could capture, I decided to start checking this world out. As most people can see, I love it! Thanks Jordan. I decided to take a photo of him this summer in action. This was the best one.

I'm the kind of person who can see something in her future and make it happen through a lot of work and struggle. I find that with my life, I try to persue every oppertunity I can. Through my camp work, through my job, and through my photography. In the past year I've gotten way better than I expected to in that time by myself. I find that the more I pursue my dreams, the more support I get to get there. Eventually I see myself in Africa photographing the children for some kind of organization. That's what I want to use my photography for. To see the faces of the hurting children in other parts of the world. I can just imagine!

Here's a pict of some silver leafs. The macro abilities on my new lense are fascinating!

My Model

For the past year I've been working on my portraits. I find getting people's good side is very difficult. My friend, Stephanie, decided to be my model for my first shoot, and has stayed my model to this day. Here are some pict's that I shot of her.
